3D Members - Kay Steans

I joined 3D in August 2007 hoping it would boost my confidence and help me make new friends, which it has.

I have been hard of hearing for many years but only recently became profoundly deaf. I found my world was getting smaller and smaller, so I decided to learn BSL (British Sign Language), this was one of the best things I have ever done and for the first time in years I finally feel equal.

I have always been interested in drama but never had the opportunity until now and so far it's been great fun.

Wizard of Oz will be the first performance I have been in since I was five years old and to say I am a bit nervous is an understatement, but I am really looking forward to the challenge.
